Visitors are welcome to attend as well as partners and carers. There is no charge for attending.
After the meeting you are welcome to join us for lunch at the Ivanhoe Hotel which has a reasonable Seniors’ menu.
Parking and Public Transport
There is free car parking at the rear of the hall.
The hall is close to Ivanhoe Station and is close to Bus routes 510, 546, 548 and 549.
Evening Meetings
If you can’t attend daytime meetings, the Eltham Prostate Cancer Information and Support Group has evening meetings, as does the Ringwood Prostate Cancer Support Group and the Essendon Prostate Cancer Support Group.
Forthcoming Meetings and Speakers
The guest speaker at our April 18, 2023 meeting will be Dr Michael Wheatcroft, BSc PhD (Cantab) Chief Scientist at Telix Pharma, which is developing precise ways to both locate prostate cancers and to deliver radio-pharmceuticals which treat them.

.Dr Wheatcroft is Director of R&D at Telix. After completing a PhD in the Department of Biochemistry, Cambridge University, Mike worked at Cambridge Antibody Technology (now Medimmune,UK), a technology leader in the area of antibody engineering and protein sciences. After moving to Melbourne in 2010 he oversaw the preclinical development of several engineered antibody drug conjugates and clinical translation of novel antibody fragment in prostate and ovarian cancer, including radioimmunoconjugates. Since then Mike has worked in senior development roles at Medicines Development Limited (MDL), Hatchtech P/L and Starpharma Limited where he performed in a variety of managerial roles related to GMP production, clinical study support and nonclinical studies for a range of pharmaceutical and medical device products.
